In an attempt to make sense of nature, we mark and categorize everything. We devised ways to recognize species, carve out land, and navigate the world. Nature attempts to thwart humans before, through natural disasters, unseasonable climate, and simple harsh geography. We still prevailed despite setbacks, braving the storm by adapting to it. If humans were to go extinct, we already left fingerprints for future archeologists.
